Roof renovations – with variable overlap tiles

The roof is one of the longest-lasting elements of a house. According to the German Association of Technical Experts, it has a renovation cycle of around 55 years.

Nonetheless, reroofing may eventually become necessary. The old roof framework is frequently kept, in which case particular attention must be paid to the horizontal battens. To ensure that the new tiles fit onto the existing roof, Nelskamp has developed tiles especially for renovations. Their overlapping area is shaped in such a way that there is some tolerance in their positioning. The spacing between them does not have to be exactly even, allowing them to compensate for small irregularities in the battens.
